2008 Deviation Road Methode Champenoise

Hamish and Kate Laurie adore fizz and this Champagne-Method-AH-fizz is their ‘homage’ to France’s finest.  Now, I am a Champagne snob and I am always highly critical of fizzies which fall short of the mark, but this wine is utterly delicious!  The nose is spot on and there are even a few baked bread notes alongside the elegant, long, finesse-laden finish.  Brilliant job – as the frogs would say ’Chapeau’ (I raise my hat to you)!
