2009 Tomich Hill Chardonnay

There is deceptive richness here and also a tropical note to the fruit flavours which might drag me away from Chardonnay if I hadn’t already seen the label, but this is indeed an unoaked Chardy and it is a very well-appointed, one, too. Lush notes of melon and peach purée reward the drinker and there is an exoticness here which will no doubt woo fragile maidens and frisky knaves in equal measure.
