2009 Ravenscroft Gewurtztraminer

This wine is a collector’s item because, believe it or not, ‘Gewurztraminer’ is spelt wrong on the label!  Ignoring this small slip, what does it taste like?  Absolutely delicious is the answer and I would wager that Ravens Croft will add new punters to its mailing list with a wine like this.  This grape, literally translated, means ‘spice garden’ and this is exactly what you get on the nose and palate of this wine.  Drink it ice cold with feisty Asian feasts and you will grin from ear to ear – just like me when I first saw this wine!
