In its 8th year The Big Picnic @ TouchWine is a fantastic family day out with an emphasis on playing, eating and being active together. Alongside a social touch tournament is a family fun day with great wine, picnic food, family games, sport and music. This is all in the shady surrounds of the South Parklands in Adelaide.
In 2012 The Big Picnic @ TouchWine will offer fun physical activities for families and a layout conducive to enjoying picnic style food and entertainment. This will include kids races, cricket, football, quoits and petanque – the activities which we classically associate with picnics. Sporting celebrities will participate in the games and sports.
The touch football tournament will include up to 48 teams representing wineries and corporate groups. Team training sessions are held in the regions and the city to teach people who are new to the game some basic touch skills.
This year, the VIP Marquee is being sponsored by Vinpac Packaging. The Vinpac Packaging Vineyard Marquee will offer a fully catered lunch for sponsors, VIP’s, teams and guests who would like to purchase an ‘all laid on’ package! The Orchard Wine Bar will feature wines from all participating wineries, a range of Coopers beer, soft drinks and food from Hutt St’s Big BBQ and Wood Fired Oven pizza’s as well as picnic boxes available on the day.
All funds raised at Touch Wine – The Big Picnic will assist Hutt St Centre to provide essential support services to people who are homeless and vulnerable.
