The Big Picnic @ TouchWine welcomes teams from single wineries or combined with other wineries to form a blended team.
Wineries may also wish to form a blended team with a wine industry partner – your accountant, lawyer, bottler, transporter, shoe maker, fence post digger…etc.
We also have a number of corporates who have enquired about entering a team. This can happen by developing a partnership with a winery and forming a team together. For more information about this please contact Danielle Bayard.
Each team consists of 6 players on the field, with 4 substitutes ideal. At least 3 of your players must be female, which can include a bloke over 45 years (dressed appropriately of course!). Your team will recieve 10 numbered event playing shirts with your logo and team name as part of your entry. You will also receive a ball so you can start practising early!
We have a broad range of abilities playing in Touch Wine and we run training sessions in most regions in the lead up so everyone has a chance to learn the basic skills of Touch Footy. So don’t worry if your team members have no previous touch experience…they wont be alone! The event is for fun and the competition is friendly.
