Touch Wine’s potential to have a global impact on homelessness is reflected by its export nationally in Australia and to Ireland as its first international port.

In 2008 Touch Wine made an appearance in the Hunter Valley as Touch Life where teams from Mines, Wines and Banks took to the magnificent but sodden fields of Hunter Valley Gardens to riase funds for Wesley Missions work with the homeless in Sydney.

In 2009 and 2010 Touch Wine spread its wings and touched down in Ireland with Wine Australia’s man in Ireland John McDonnell responsible. Also in 2010 Hutt Street Centre’s sister agency in Victoria – St Mary’s House of Welcome – hosted their first Wine Rules on a brilliant spring day. In 2012 Wine Rules will be back again on November 18 in Elwood. More information including how to enter or sponsor Wine Rules can be found on their website www.winerules.com.au

Joining us this year St Vincent de Paul in the ACT will hold their first Touch Football Vinnie-yard on November 24.

Matthew has been approached about taking Touch Wine to South Africa, New Zealand, the UK and France in the next few years. We’re touching down for homelessness round the globe.
